Matthew Woo [Former MSc Student] Focused on comparative analyses and mutagenesis studies of Retinitis Pigmentosa associated mutations to understand molecular mechanisms using natural variation, and molecular evolution of snake crystallin genes and implications for snake evolutionary origins. He is currently an Associate Scientist at Altasciences.

Frances Hauser [Former PhD Student] While at the Chang lab, Frances researched molecular evolution of the opsin gene family in Neotropical cichlids, functional characterization of Neotropical cichlid opsin proteins, protein evolution, and visual ecology and evolution of fishes. She has gone on to a Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Toronto Scarborough.
